Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association
The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) supports general aviation, and without it we probably wouldn't have been able to fly after 9/11, though it was a great organization long before that. The strength of its 400,000 members keeps our flying freedoms intact. The AOPA website is always up-to-date and current, and is a great resource for pilots at all levels of experience. AOPA really likes to encourage new student pilots. |
Intellicast Weather Radar
This radar picture shows you real-time rain and snow, and can be "looped" so as to show several hours of precipitation and storm movement. |
The Weather Channel
The Weather Channel has really nice graphics, especially for the Surface Analysis map - the basis of understanding what is going on with the weather. |
The Visible Satellite

This website shows, from a satellite out in space, the clouds that form the weather. This website has really clear pictures, and shows the whole U.S. |
Be A Pilot
Be A Pilot is a great resource for getting information about taking flying lessons. They have been super supporters of General Aviation. If you visit their website, you'll see Columbus Flight Instruction listed there! |
